The SocietyÊs main activity is the publication of the quarterly Journal reflecting membersÊ interests and the results of their research. It is widely recognised as being at the forefront of British military studies and is internationally renowned for its consistent interest, variety and scholarship. The SocietyÊs subscription remains modest as authors are not paid for their contributions. In addition, the Society continues to produce special issues including monographs on dress distinctions, biographical or regimental research aids and bibliographies, as well as previously unpublished letters or diaries.
